Age appropriate toys

Phil McInnes

If you buy a toy for your child and he/she is disinterested, put it away for a month or so and then bring it out again. There is going to be a time where that concept or skill will grab his/her interest. Toddlers develop at such differing rates that the suggested age on the packaging should not be taken literally. It is a guideline only. If your child is not interested, it doesn't mean that the toy is boring the child. It can mean that the child is not developmentally ready to properly engage that particular skill or concept.
